The DSA TA/CA Working Group has published a position paper on the need for a standard method to ensure that access to data can be restricted to a set of authorized users. This would ensure that access to that data can be accurately logged, giving rise to a "Proof of Authorized Access" or PoAA.

This position paper explores the addition of an Originator ID to Filecoin sealed sectors as a way to identify the source of stored data. The paper explains how this approach could support data provenance, improve access control, enable digital property rights, and unlock new value for sealed sectors across the Filecoin network.
